STRYKE Wynds (WIW)

In 2015, Winter Guard International created its first ever WGI Winds Division. STRYKE jumped on the opportunity to impact more students in the South Florida Community and created STRYKE Wynds (SWY). Under the current direction of Josh Bishop, the wind ensemble provides members with the highest quality instruction in South Florida. They make it their mission to help each member develop their fundamental technique throughout the course of the season. The group's accolades include the WGI Winds Open Class Silver Medal in 2015 and then capturing the WIO Gold Medal in 2016 as well as the coveted WGI Fan Favorite Award.  In 2017, Wynds was promoted to the Winds World Class and earned the Silver Medal. Then in 2018 winning the Bronze Medal and in 2019 winning the Silver Medal and again voted the WGI Fan Favorite capping off another incredible season of continuing growth!
